What is Make Your Will Fortnight?

St Raphael’s Hospice is working with local solicitors to give you the opportunity to have your will written this October.  Local solicitors are generously waiving their usual fees and donating their time and expertise to help raise funds for the Hospice.  Every donation made to St Raphael’s as part of Make a Will Fortnight will help provide much needed care and support to the patients and families who need us.

The suggested minimum donation for a single Will is £150 and £225 for a pair of mirror Wills.

Why write a Will?

At St Raphael’s, we understand the peace of mind people feel knowing that they have provided for their family and friends.  Having an up-to-date will is crucial as it ensures that your assets are distributed according to your wishes, providing protection, clarity and direction for your loved ones during a difficult time.  The first job of any will must be to look after friends and family.  But alongside that, it’s perfectly possible to leave an additional gift to charity, such as St Raphael’s Hospice.

Thinking of St Raphael’s Hospice

Over 1,000 patients and those close to them benefit from our exceptional free Hospice care which costs us over £6.5 million to provide every year.  Remembering St Raphael’s Hospice with a gift in your will allows us to continue our vital work, touching lives through the care and support we provide, and allowing patients to spend their final days with dignity and in comfort.  Although there is no obligation to include a gift in your will to St Raphael’s Hospice, we do hope that you consider such a gift.
